Salary £55,612 - £60,147 per annum (pay award pending) | Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week | County Hall, Preston/Hybrid

Join us as a Corporate Accounting Manager contributing to our council's highly successful finance team advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment. The main objective of the role is to manage the production of the council's annual Statement of Accounts. This is a key role with a strong focus on technical accounting skills and knowledge of the statutory requirements for local authority accounting.

About you:

  • You'll be a qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent) and/or have substantial experience in a senior finance role.
  • You'll take a strategic, solutions-focused approach.
  • Have strong technical accounting skills and experience of producing local authority financial accounts.
  • Be organised with excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial information.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a demonstrable record of delivery in a similar post.
  • You'll have great communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
