Client Content Lead, Director

Citi Services is redefining how global institutions engage with financial platforms through data, intelligence, and seamless digital experiences. As Client Content Lead, Director within the Client Advisory team, you will own the end-to-end content strategy for the Partnership & Innovation (P&I) organization spanning Digital Assets, Client Advisory, Partnerships, Investments, and Emerging Commerce shaping how Citi Services positions itself with clients and across the broader business. This is a senior leadership role for a commercially minded content strategist who understands institutional financial services and knows how to turn complex ideas into narratives that influence client thinking and drive decisions.

Team/Role Overview

The Client Advisory team is Citi Services' market-leading practitioner-led advisory group, partnering with treasury and finance executives to help transform treasury, liquidity, working capital and financial operating models. The team delivers strategic advice, thought leadership and market insights that help clients navigate growth, digital transformation in an increasingly complex global operating environment.

The Client Advisor (SVP) will lead client engagements across the UK, Europe and broader international client base, acting as a trusted advisor to senior treasury, finance and corporate decision-makers. The role combines deep treasury expertise, business acumen and strategic thinking to help clients improve operational performance, accelerate transformation and optimise working capital. The successful candidate will also help shape Citi's advisory agenda by developing thought leadership, informing product innovation and providing voice-of-client insights to internal stakeholders.

This role requires exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with C-suite executives and collaborate across Citi's global matrix organization.

What you’ll do

  • Lead treasury and working capital advisory engagements, providing strategic recommendations to treasury and finance executives.
  • Develop and deliver thought leadership covering treasury transformation, liquidity management, payments, working capital, digitalisation and AI-driven innovation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying performance improvement opportunities and best practice operating models.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Banking and Markets teams to originate opportunities and support business growth across Citi Services.
  • Provide client insights that influence Citi product strategy, solution design and competitive positioning.
  • Advise clients on treasury structures, financing strategies, cash management and operating in regulated and emerging markets.
  • Create executive-level presentations, advisory reports and client narratives for senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to global advisory initiatives and mentor colleagues through collaboration and subject matter expertise.

What we’ll need from you

We are seeking an accomplished treasury professional or consultant with strong practitioner experience and a passion for advisory, innovation and client engagement.

  • Significant experience in corporate treasury, treasury consulting or treasury advisory within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in treasury operations, liquidity management, working capital, cash forecasting, payments and financing strategies.
  • Experience leading transformation, digitalization and operating model change initiatives across treasury and finance functions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate treasury, banking solutions, capital markets and finance technology ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and advise senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including development of thought leadership content.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercial and strategic mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline; advanced degree or professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA, ACT or equivalent) preferred.
