The Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join the expanding Corporate & Commercial team of a well-established and highly regarded law firm, based in central London.
As part of a busy and supportive team, you will work on a broad range of high-quality corporate transactions for an established client base, with excellent opportunities for career progression. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious solicitor looking to develop their practice within a collaborative, flexible and forward-thinking environment.
You will take on a varied caseload from the outset, advising businesses of all sizes on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters while playing an active role in business development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions and company law matters.
- Acting on mergers and acquisitions, including share and asset acquisitions and disposals.
- Advising start-up businesses on formation, investment, governance and growth.
- Assisting with joint ventures and shareholder arrangements.
- Supporting private equity transactions, including buyouts and investment work.
- Advising on capital markets and corporate finance matters where applicable.
- Working on banking and finance transactions alongside corporate matters.
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of corporate documentation, including share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, investment agreements and constitutional documents.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while providing commercially focused legal advice.
- Actively participating in networking, marketing and business development initiatives to support the continued growth of the department.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver an exceptional client service.

About You
- Qualified Solicitor with 2-3 years' PQE in Corporate & Commercial law gained within a recognised law firm.
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of company law and corporate transactions.
- Experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, with exposure to areas such as start-ups, joint ventures, private equity, banking or capital markets being advantageous.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Confident managing matters independently while working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Commercially minded with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to client service.
- Enthusiastic about networking, business development and building long-term client relationships.
- Ambitious, driven and keen to contribute to the continued success and growth of the Corporate & Commercial team.
