Salary: £32,000-£34,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible, with occasional evenings and weekends). There may be opportunities to increase hours over time, depending on funding and organisational growth.
Annual leave: 28 days (pro rata) plus bank holidays (pro rata)

About us
Leeds Baby Bank exists to ensure no child goes without because they are born into a family experiencing poverty.
We are seeking a pro-active, dynamic and strategic Corporate and Community Fundraiser to lead and grow our fundraising activity across Leeds. You will take ownership, build relationships quickly, and spot opportunities to grow support in ways that are practical, meaningful and sustainable. The focus is on activity that delivers the greatest impact - financially and for the families we support - while prioritising work that creates long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
Managing contacts
- Identify, research, approach and secure new corporate and community partners, maintaining an active pipeline of both prospects and relationships.
- Manage and grow the portfolio of supporters and their key individuals, developing relationships for income and long-term support.
- Nurture individuals and groups interested in ‘in aid of’ fundraising, providing guidance, resources and practical support to maximise fundraising.
- Recruit and support fundraising volunteers, developing support groups where possible.
Developing fundraising
- Develop and use fundraising resources for corporate partnerships, including employee fundraising, Charity of the Year partnerships, grant opportunities, sponsorship opportunities and payroll giving.
- Identity and utilise community fundraising opportunities to raise income from third party challenge events and existing local events.
- Create inspiring fundraising campaigns / initiatives and recruit individuals and organisations to take part.
- Encourage and organise donation drives for new and pre-loved items, including a network of regular collection points.

Marketing and communications
- Proactively approach new and existing contacts by phone and face to face, raising the importance of fundraising and promoting initiatives and campaigns.
- Market fundraising initiatives and campaigns through all channels, including social media, email marketing, online, through printed materials and in-person.
- Represent the charity at events, workplaces and within the local community, delivering presentations where required.
- Provide excellent stewardship to thank, recognise and grow support.
Fundraising management
- Develop and deliver a corporate and community fundraising strategy aligned with organisational growth plans.
- Maintain accurate records of supporters and engagement using the charity’s CRM system (Zoho).
- Monitor and regularly report performance, using insight to guide future activity.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to maximise fundraising and impact.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and data protection requirements.
Person Specification
Essential
- A proven track record in charity fundraising with evidence of generating income.
- Experience working with community groups and/or corporate partners.
- Ability to take ownership of existing relationships as well as develop new ones.
- A strong communicator, able to inspire people, building relationships and trust quickly.
- Confidence in making clear and compelling asks to focus relationships on financial support and donations in kind.
- Comfortable presenting to businesses, community groups and stakeholders.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Able to create inspiring fundraising initiatives using your experience and imagination.
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to drive activity independently.
- Highly organised and able to effectively prioritise activity with the greatest impact.
- Strong IT skills, including experience of CRM systems and digital tools for engagement.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to take a flexible, hands-on approach as part of a small team.
- Commitment to the values and work of Leeds Baby Bank.

Desirable
- An experienced and accomplished corporate and / or community fundraiser.
- Experience securing corporate partnerships (e.g. Charity of the Year).
- Experience of working with and supporting volunteers or volunteer groups.
- Experience developing and delivering fundraising campaigns, events or challenges.
- Knowledge of Leeds and the local community and business landscape.
- Car driver with clean driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use.
