💷 Starting from £32,000–£33,000 - 12-month fixed-term contract with likely extension subject to performance and funding.
📅 Applications close 5pm, Friday 18 September 2026

The North York Moors Trust is growing and as part of that, we are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our fundraising and campaign work.

This role will be central to diversifying our income: strengthening our corporate partnerships, deepening relationships with individual supporters, and turning our work into campaigns that encourage more people to support us. In this role, you will have real scope to shape how we grow, working closely with our Executive Director and with backing from a supportive Board.

Purpose of the Role

The Corporate and Major Donor Fundraiser will lead the Trust's efforts to secure unrestricted funding from businesses, major donors, and philanthropic supporters. Working closely with the Executive Director, Trustees, External Funding Manager, and project teams, the postholder will identify funding opportunities, develop relationships, create compelling propositions and secure support that enables the Trust to grow its portfolio of work and impact.

The role will also support the development of the Trust's individual giving programme, helping to improve donor engagement, stewardship and supporter journeys. Grant fundraising is led separately by an External Funding Manager and is not the primary focus of this role.

Job Description

Corporate Partnerships

  • Build and grow the Trust's portfolio of corporate partners and sponsors.
  • Identify, research and engage businesses that align with the Trust's mission and values.
  • Develop partnership opportunities, sponsorship packages and funding propositions.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and progress partnership discussions through to securing support.

Major Donor & Philanthropic Giving

  • Identify, cultivate and secure support from major donors and philanthropic supporters.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects and tailored engagement plans.
  • Work with the Executive Director and Trustees to identify opportunities, develop relationships and progress funding conversations.
  • Prepare proposals, cases for support and donor communications that encourage giving.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
