Bupa Global has offices around the world including London and Brighton (UK), Dublin (Europe), Miami (USA), Dubai (UAE, in partnership with OIC), Egypt and Hong Kong (China) as well as regional offices in mainland China, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Panama, Guatemala and Ecuador.

Role Purpose

The Corporate & SME Client Manager is responsible for the retention, growth and profitability of Bupa Global's SME and Corporate client portfolio in Hong Kong. The role serves as the primary relationship owner for assigned broker and client accounts, developing long-term partnerships, driving customer retention, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring exceptional customer outcomes aligned with Bupa Global's strategic objectives.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Sales, Pricing, Underwriting, Operations, Marketing and Customer Service, the role ensures sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining compliance with Bupa Global's risk appetite, governance standards and customer-first philosophy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Client Portfolio Management
    • Manage and develop a portfolio of SME and Corporate customers to achieve retention, growth and profitability objectives.
    • Build trusted adviser relationships with key client decision-makers, HR leaders, business owners, finance stakeholders and employee benefits managers.
    • Develop and execute annual account plans for key customers and broker partners.
    • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and customer business reviews to identify risks, opportunities and client needs.
    • Ensure effective client onboarding, implementation and ongoing relationship management.

  • Broker Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediary partners and brokers.
    • Increase broker engagement and advocacy through proactive relationship management.
    • Position Bupa Global as the preferred international health insurance provider within the broker community.
  • Retention and Revenue Growth

    • Lead the renewal process for assigned accounts and deliver agreed retention targets.
    • Identify opportunities for membership growth, upselling and cross-selling.
    • Partner with Pricing and Underwriting teams to develop commercially viable renewal strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver seamless customer outcomes.
    • Act as the voice of the customer and broker within the organisation.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in Corporate Account Management, Employee Benefits, Insurance, Financial Services or Relationship Management.
  • Demonstrated success delivering customer retention and revenue growth targets.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability across internal and external audiences.
  • Experience managing international private medical insurance (IPMI), employee benefits or corporate healthcare programmes is advantageous.
  • Understanding of employee benefits and health insurance solutions.
  • Knowledge of underwriting and pricing principles.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRM proficiency.
