This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Northern law firm with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional legal advice to a diverse client base ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs through to large national organisations. With continued growth across its Corporate team, the firm is looking to appoint a Corporate Associate or Senior Associate to join its Leeds or Newcastle office.

Your new role

You will join an established Corporate team advising on a broad range of corporate transactions and advisory matters, including:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Management buyouts and buy-ins
  • Corporate restructures
  • Shareholder agreements and corporate governance matters
  • Joint ventures and investment transactions
  • General company law and commercial advisory work

You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex transactions while also managing your own matters and developing strong client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified solicitor with between 3 and 8 years' PQE gained within a recognised corporate team
  • Experience advising on M&A transactions and general corporate matters
  • Strong technical skills and commercial awareness
  • Ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach
