The Opportunity:
The team are seeking an experienced Corporate and Commercial Solicitor (3-5 Years PQE) to join our well-established Corporate and Commercial department, based at our Norwich office.
About The Team:
Our Corporate & Commercial team advises businesses and entrepreneurs at every stage of their development, from start‑up and growth to investment, restructuring and exit. We provide clear, pragmatic advice on corporate transactions, company law and governance, alongside a broad range of commercial work including drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts to support day‑to‑day business operations. Working closely with our clients, we focus on understanding their objectives and delivering practical, commercially‑focused solutions.
About the Role:
- Advising on share and asset sales and purchases, management buy-outs and corporate restructures.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating shareholders' agreements, partnership agreements and other corporate documents.
- Advising clients on company law, governance and regulatory matters.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, terms and conditions, supply agreements and service agreements.
- Managing transactions and matters from instruction through to completion.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships with owner-managed businesses, SMEs and professional contacts.
- Supporting business development initiatives and networking activities across the region.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to provide joined-up advice to clients.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks and have a good attention to detail. They should be a team-player who can quickly gain the trust of their team and clients as well as our professional colleagues in this demanding area of legal work. We are looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience of both corporate and commercial work and is confident handling matters with an appropriate degree of supervision.
- Demonstrates strong technical ability combined with pragmatic commercial judgement.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Has excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Enjoys developing client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
- Is a team player who is keen to be involved in the continued growth of the department.
- Shares the firm's commitment to exceptional client service.

We expect that the ideal candidate will be an experienced lawyer with excellent academic credentials and have appropriate experience in corporate/M&A work, including multiple types of transactions and due diligence/review. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and growing companies across East Anglia.
