Corporate Communications and External Affairs Manager
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Location: London (Hybrid, Knightsbridge & King's Road)
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About Us
The Knightsbridge and King's Road Partnerships are two dynamic Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) working to enhance, promote and support two of London's most iconic and globally recognised destinations. Through collaboration with local businesses, residents, public sector partners and stakeholders, we deliver ambitious place-making, destination marketing, public realm and advocacy programmes.
The Role
We're seeking a talented Corporate Communications and External Affairs Manager to lead our member communications and external affairs strategy, support our stakeholder relationships, and drive forward our reputation and influence. Working with the Director of Marketing and Communications, you'll shape and deliver the communications strategy for both BIDs covering media relations, stakeholder engagement, digital content, campaigns, public affairs and crisis communications while supporting relationships with local authorities, business members, resident groups and political stakeholders.

What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy across both Partnerships
- Lead on media relations, press releases, interviews and briefings
- Own brand and messaging consistency across all corporate social channels
- Run the content calendar and lead content creation, including campaigns, blogs, videos and promotional material
- Lead weekly member newsletters (Mailchimp) and maintain accurate CRM records
- Support senior leadership on stakeholder engagement with councils, TfL, resident groups, business leaders and government representatives
- Draft strategic briefings, reports and position statements
- Monitor policy developments and support lobbying and advocacy efforts, including consultation responses
- Deliver the member events series, from logistics to stakeholder liaison
- Support crisis communications planning for reputational risks or incidents
- Coordinate quarterly Board papers, reporting and internal documentation
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Proven experience in a communications, corporate affairs or public affairs role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting high-level briefing materials
- Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement, particularly in urban, political or public sector contexts
- Experience managing digital and media campaigns
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure and within budget

Desirable:
- Knowledge of London governance and planning, especially Westminster City Council, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and Transport for London
- Familiarity with Business Improvement Districts or similar membership organisations
- A network of media and stakeholder contacts
