Job Purpose and Impact

The Manager, Corporate Communications develops and executes communications programs, messaging resources, and executive communications that support Cargill's reputation, strengthen organizational alignment, and advance key business priorities. The role manages high-profile communications projects, partners to deliver communications initiatives, and helps ensure leaders and communicators have the tools they need to communicate consistently and effectively.

This role is responsible for managing corporate messaging resources, supporting executive and board communications, and delivering communications programs that enable leaders and communicators across the company to communicate with clarity, consistency, and confidence. The Manager translates complex business, financial, policy, and industry topics into actionable communications tools and content while ensuring effective governance, distribution, and measurement of communications initiatives.

The role works closely with colleagues across the company to support strategic communications priorities, deliver key corporate communications programs, and continuously improve communications effectiveness.

The position can be located at any of the following Cargill locations: Minneapolis/Wayzata (U.S.), São Paulo (Brazil), Amsterdam/Schiphol (Netherlands), London (United Kingdom), or Singapore.

Key Accountabilities

  • STRATEGY EXECUTION: Implements internal communication strategies and campaigns by using plans and standards to guide successful distribution of deliverables and alignment of messaging, and implements standardized frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • MESSAGING MATERIAL: Drafts internal communication material, such as newsletters, emails, intranet updates, and town hall presentations to support engaging employees and encouraging a sense of connection and alignment with the organization's goals and values.
  • CHANNEL MANAGEMENT: Handles internal communication channels by maintaining accessibility of selected channels to all employees, regardless of role, work schedule or location, making updates for accurate functionality, and monitoring two-way communication channels, such as discussion forums, feedback mechanisms, and collaboration platforms.
  • EVENT COORDINATION: Coordinates the planning and execution of employee events, town hall meetings, and other engagement initiatives to build a sense of community, collaboration, and shared purpose among employees, ultimately improving organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
  • REPUTATION MANAGEMENT: Monitors the organization's internal reputation by identifying any issues during times of change and transformation to document any negative sentiment, misinformation, or potential threats that may arise, allowing the organization to tailor communication and response strategies accordingly.
  • CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT: Handles internal communication campaigns by measuring the impact and effectiveness of messaging using established evaluation methods and reviewing campaign progress reports on achievements, key performance indicators, upcoming activities, and budget and prioritization to identify areas of concern and communicates results.
  • COMMUNICATION PREFERENCE ANALYSIS: Conducts research and analysis to gain insights into internal partner perspectives, concerns, and communication preferences and recommends the most effective channels, formats, and timing for delivering information to employees.
  • EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: Supports employee engagement by facilitating two-way communication channels, conducting employee surveys and feedback sessions, and promoting internal communication platforms and resources.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional communications initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to translate complex business, financial, policy, and industry topics into clear, audience-focused communications.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders, driving alignment, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting executive leaders, including developing thought leadership content and executive communications strategies.
  • Experience leading corporate reputation, narrative, or strategic communications initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Experience developing communications strategies and materials for board-facing or governance-related communications.
  • Experience using communications analytics, stakeholder insights, and performance metrics to inform communications strategies and decision-making.
