Description
This is a broad, high-profile role combining corporate development, investor relations, and strategic analysis.
Working closely with the Director of Corporate Development & Investor Relations, the successful candidate will support the delivery of Breedon's M&A activity, investor communications strategy, external market engagement, and long-term strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations
- Support preparation of half-year and full-year results, including presentations, scripts, Q&A, and announcements.
- Maintain analyst consensus and monitor market expectations.
- Prepare investor, analyst, and Board materials, including Breedon’s investor website.
- Track and analyse shareholder movements and investor feedback.
- Support with capital markets events and site visits.
- Coordinate responses to routine investor and analyst enquiries.

Corporate Development
- Work closely with our divisions in Great Britain, Ireland, and the United States to support the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities.
- Conduct market, competitor, and target company research.
- Build and maintain acquisition valuation models.
- Assist with due diligence processes and adviser coordination.
- Prepare Board papers.
- Support integration planning and post-acquisition performance tracking.
- Maintain the Group acquisition pipeline and reporting processes.
Strategy
- Support development of the Group's strategic plans.
- Manage the Group’s capital approval process.
- Analyse market data across Great Britain, Ireland, and the United States.
- Monitor industry and competitor developments.
- Work with our Divisions to prepare strategic analysis for Board strategy sessions.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 5+ years' relevant experience, although investor relations experience is not a pre-requisite.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Comfortable interacting with senior management and the plc Board, with the confidence to constructively challenge and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct independent research.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, high attention to detail, organisational skills, and strong commercial judgement.
