Corporate Development Expert

Position: Corporate Development Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $2,000/task

Location: Remote

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Corporate Development and M&A Professionals with hands-on experience managing transactions from start to finish.

You'll complete self-contained M&A exercises using mock CIMs, diligence reports, term sheets, and board materials, producing professional deliverables that are evaluated against structured benchmarks.

Responsibilities

  • Build three-statement, DCF, trading comps, transaction comps, and accretion-dilution models.
  • Analyze cap tables, equity waterfalls, deal structures, and transaction economics.
  • Draft and compare IOIs, LOIs, term sheets, and bid comparisons.
  • Prepare management presentations, buyer universes, board decks, and committee materials.
  • Conduct deal screening, diligence, synergy modeling, carve-out analysis, and integration planning.
  • Develop 100-day plans, diligence request lists, findings summaries, and closing materials.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in an in-house Corporate Development or M&A role at an operating company.
  • Hands-on ownership of live transactions from end to end.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, transaction analysis, and deal execution.
  • Ability to produce polished, board-ready corporate development materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Investment Banking or Private Equity experience before moving in-house.
  • Background in Big 4 transaction advisory or financial due diligence.
  • Experience with complex M&A transactions, integrations, carve-outs, or strategic investments.
  • Strong financial analysis and executive communication skills.
