Hybrid, London - City

Full time, Permanent

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Your Role

As a Corporate Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth across international markets by building and strengthening strategic relationships with insurers, brokers, life companies, financial advisory firms, networks, and trade bodies. Acting as a trusted partner, you will promote the full breadth of the CII’s corporate proposition while expanding its global footprint.

This is a highly commercial, sales-focused role where you will take ownership of a substantial existing portfolio, with real opportunity to develop and grow accounts further. You will be responsible for driving regional performance, identifying new opportunities, and expanding into new international markets.

With a strong focus on revenue generation, you will use a consultative sales approach to win new business, retain and grow existing clients, and maximise renewal opportunities. You will create and execute account plans, proactively spot opportunities, and drive uptake of key offerings such as e-learning, professional development, and Corporate Chartered titles.

Alongside individual contribution, you will also support and collaborate with the team, sharing market insights and contributing to overall business development strategy. You will stay close to global market trends, using insights to shape conversations, influence direction, and ensure the CII remains competitive and relevant internationally.

This role suits someone who enjoys being outward-facing, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and is motivated by growth, impact, and building something bigger across markets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
