Corporate Development | Senior Associate / Assistant Manager | London

The Role

The successful candidate will join an established Corporate Development team, supporting the evaluation and execution of acquisitions and strategic investment opportunities. This role is specifically suited to a strong Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence Senior Associate or Assistant Manager looking to make their first move into Corporate Development. You will build on your existing FDD experience while developing broader exposure across financial modelling, valuation, deal structuring and end-to-end M&A execution.

About the Role

  • Evaluate potential acquisition and investment opportunities
  • Analyse historical and forecast financial performance
  • Assess quality of earnings, working capital, net debt and cash flow
  • Identify key transaction risks, value drivers and deal considerations
  • Build financial models and support valuation analysis
  • Prepare business cases and investment papers for senior management
  • Undertake market, sector and competitor analysis
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, legal, tax and operational due diligence
  • Work with management teams and external advisers throughout transactions
  • Support deals from initial evaluation through due diligence and completion
  • Develop exposure to deal structuring, transaction documentation and negotiations
  • Support integration and post-deal performance reviews
  • Gain regular exposure to senior management and Board-level decision-making

Your Experience

  • Strong Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence experience
  • Experience across buy-side and sell-side FDD engagements
  • Strong understanding of quality of earnings, working capital and net debt
  • Experience analysing management accounts, forecasts and financial performance
  • Commercial understanding of transaction risks and value drivers
  • Experience working with management teams, clients and professional advisers
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification desirable
  • Newly qualified through to approximately 0–3 years PQE particularly relevant
