Corporate Development Manager | South Coast

The Role

The successful candidate will join a growing Corporate Development team responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing acquisition opportunities. This is particularly suited to a Transaction Services / FDD Manager looking to use their existing deal experience while broadening their exposure across the full M&A lifecycle.

You are not expected to arrive with extensive Corporate Development or Investment Banking experience. The business is specifically interested in candidates with strong transaction fundamentals who can develop the wider execution skillset within the role.

About the Role

  • Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities
  • Analyse historical and forecast financial performance
  • Assess quality of earnings, working capital, net debt and cash flow
  • Identify transaction risks, value drivers and key deal considerations
  • Build and develop acquisition models and valuation analysis
  • Prepare investment papers and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Undertake market, competitor and target analysis
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, tax, legal and operational due diligence
  • Work directly with management teams and external advisers
  • Support transactions from initial assessment through to completion

Your Experience

  • Strong Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence experience
  • Manager-level experience within a Big Four, Top 10 or established advisory firm
  • Strong understanding of quality of earnings, working capital and net debt
  • Experience analysing businesses and identifying key transaction issues
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis capability
  • Confident working with senior clients, management teams and advisers
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification desirable
  • Previous Corporate Development or Investment Banking experience is not required
