Duties and Responsibilities Related to the Corporate & Diplomatic Sales Manager Role

As Corporate & Diplomatic Sales Manager, you will lead the hotel's corporate, diplomatic and new business development strategy, driving revenue growth across key market segments and strengthening Park Hyatt London River Thames' position within the luxury hospitality market.

Working closely with the Director of Sales and wider commercial team, you will position Park Hyatt London River Thames as the preferred luxury hotel partner for corporate travellers, diplomatic delegations, groups and events. Through a strategic and relationship-focused approach, you will help expand market share, develop long-term partnerships and contribute to the hotel's continued commercial success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth across the corporate, diplomatic and new business development segments.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with multinational corporations, local corporate accounts, embassies, high commissions and international organisations.
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts, maximising transient, group and event revenue through proactive account management.
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities through sales calls, networking events, client meetings and sales trips.
  • Negotiating corporate agreements, preferred rates and bespoke packages in line with commercial objectives.
  • Representing the hotel at industry events, trade shows and diplomatic functions to strengthen brand awareness and generate new business.
  • Collaborating with Revenue, Events and Operations teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and achieve sales targets.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity, while producing accurate forecasts, reports and account plans to support business growth.

About You

You are a commercially driven sales professional with proven experience in hospitality sales, corporate sales, business development or account management. Experience within a luxury hotel environment would be highly advantageous, with a strong understanding of the corporate and diplomatic market segments.

You are a confident communicator and skilled negotiator who can build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and successfully convert opportunities into revenue. Equally comfortable managing existing accounts and securing new business, you have a track record of delivering results and exceeding targets.

Your strong organisational skills and attention to detail enable you to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional service standards. You enjoy working collaboratively across departments and are proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused in your approach.
