The Role
HII is looking for the next leader of our Corporate Advanced Technology Group!
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and driving strategic technology initiatives and improving company operational performance:
- Leading HII’s corporate technology office and corporate IRAD program
- Transforming shipbuilding with physical AI through our High Yield Production Robotics (HYPR) initiative
- Partnering with NNS and Ingalls Shipbuilding to grow our distributed shipbuilding program
- Driving our Warship OS campaign
- Leading our Engineering Fellows program
- Taking a leadership role in developing corporate and business unit operations strategies, including identifying investment and value creation opportunities, diagnosing operational constraints, building business cases and implementation plans, and aligning stakeholders for implementation
- Developing cross-division technology implementation roadmaps for advanced manufacturing, autonomy, and applied AI
- Developing strategic partnerships with industry, technology, and supplier partners
- Serving as part of the corporate Dark Sea Labs leadership team
- Conducting operational due diligence activities in support of M&A
- Preparing materials for the CEO, division presidents, Board of Directors, and external senior stakeholders

Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent in education, training, and experience), plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; OR
- Master’s degree and 8 years relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience in defense, shipbuilding, operations, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management
- Prior experience in management consulting or internal consulting
