AXA Health Corporate Distribution Director
AXA Health supports members to put their health first, from individuals to huge corporates, with fast access to diagnosis and treatment when they need it.
A rare opportunity to shape the future of AXA Health’s Corporate business at a pivotal time for the market. As Corporate Distribution Director, you’ll set and lead the strategy for profitable, sustainable growth — building compelling client propositions, strengthening acquisition and retention, and bringing a clear commercial vision to life across sales, client delivery and long-term partnership performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Development
- Lead the Corporate strategy and annual business planning process to deliver 3–5 year financial and commercial growth objectives, shaping market-leading products, services and propositions for Corporate clients
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across AXA Health, AXA UK and Global businesses to deliver strategic priorities and new opportunities.
- Oversee Corporate intermediary performance to ensure portfolios meet required business measures, including loss ratio, revenue, lapse rate and new business.
- Maintain the Corporate segment’s medium- to long-term profitable market position by identifying and responding to external threats, competitor activity and market opportunities.
- Identify and develop opportunities for new products and services that benefit AXA Health, AXA UK and clients.
- Lead and manage the response to internal and external change, ensuring the Corporate business remains agile and future-focused.
Financial Management & Operational Plans
- Take overall accountability for the Corporate P&L, ensuring delivery of agreed financial targets, income growth and profitability objectives.
- Lead the Corporate team in delivering strategic and financial growth plans, including the launch of new propositions and enhanced digital capability.
- Manage budgets, financial controls and reporting processes to ensure robust performance management and sustainable financial delivery.
- Establish clear accountability for profitable growth across all products, propositions and services, with effective controls across financial, operational and people performance.

Leadership & Management
- Lead and inspire the AXA Health Corporate Division, ensuring the organisational design, infrastructure and ways of working are optimised to deliver strategic plan targets, sales growth and profitability.
- Build, develop and retain high-performing, multi-skilled teams through effective resourcing, capability development, succession planning, talent management, performance management and alignment to AXA values and behaviours.
Customer Service
- Maintain and enhance customer service through robust operational management and regular monitoring, review and improvement programmes
- To assist the product development process by generating ideas as a result of feedback from clients/prospects and intermediaries across all segments.
Marketing and Brand
- Ensure that the brand strategy and marketing plans for the corporate team are delivered
Risk, Compliance and Legal Management
- Establish and maintain appropriate governance arrangements to meet all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to regulation governing financial services and insurance products and distribution, clinical governance requirements, and data protection, security and medical confidentiality standards
- To embrace and adopt systems and processes which ensure AXA Health Corporate and SME Divisions policies regarding regulatory requirements, FCA compliance, business continuity and financial integrity are maintained.
Third Party Relationships
- Ensure that all outsourced and third-party relationships (including tied agents and global pooling partners) are managed effectively and meet the required standards to represent AXA Health and ensuring market opportunities and overall portfolio performance are optimised.
Performance Related Pay Scheme ownerships and responsibilities in line with the incentives scheme policy
- PRP schemes are maintained in line with AXA Policy
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your Skills & Experience
- Proven senior leadership experience, including managing large, multi-disciplined teams and developing high-performing cultures.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of managing P&L, budgets and business performance.
- Ability to think and operate strategically, creating a compelling business vision and delivering strategic growth.
- Experience of leading transformational change and implementing effective business planning methodologies.
- Strong track record of driving commercial growth within a financial services or regulated environment.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market, combining commercial insight with technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to lead through complexity and change.
