What's in it for you?
If you've built your foundations in Transaction Services and want to move into M&A, this is an opportunity to make that transition while putting the expertise you've already developed to valuable use.
- You'll join an established Corporate Finance team where you'll be trained in live M&A deal execution from the outset, working directly alongside experienced dealmakers across the transaction lifecycle.
- At the same time, your Transaction Services experience will give you an immediate area in which you can add value. You'll contribute to financial due diligence assignments and help develop the team's due diligence capability, while broadening your own experience beyond FDD into M&A deal advisory.
- For someone who doesn't want their career to remain solely within Transaction Services, this offers the opportunity to develop into a more rounded Corporate Finance professional without starting again or leaving your existing skill set behind.
Package
- Competitive base salary, expected to be in the region of £60,000–£65,000, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
- Lucrative bonus structure
- Direct mentoring from experienced Corporate Finance professionals
- Hands-on exposure to live M&A transactions
- Clear long-term progression within a growing Corporate Finance team
Why this business
- Our client is a well-established accountancy and advisory firm with a growing Corporate Finance practice and ambitious plans to further develop its M&A and Transaction Services capabilities.
- You'll join a team where you'll have direct access to senior dealmakers, meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to bring expertise that adds value from day one.
- Rather than joining as someone who needs to learn every aspect of the role from scratch, your existing due diligence experience will provide a strong foundation from which to develop broader M&A execution skills. As the Corporate Finance team continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to develop with it and progress into increasingly senior responsibilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
