The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded, independent corporate finance advisory team based in Nottingham. The business works with ambitious privately owned and entrepreneurial companies, providing advice across a range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, MBIs, fundraising and strategic corporate finance.

This firm has an established reputation in the Midlands market and offers an Associate the opportunity to gain significant exposure to live transactions while working closely with experienced corporate finance professionals and business owners.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified ACA looking to make their first move from a Big 4 audit environment into corporate finance advisory.

You will be involved across the full transaction lifecycle, including:

  • Supporting the execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions
  • Preparing financial analysis, valuation models and transaction analysis
  • Producing information memorandums, management presentations and other client materials
  • Undertaking financial and commercial analysis as part of transaction processes
  • Supporting due diligence and liaising with clients, advisers and other transaction stakeholders
  • Working directly with senior members of the team and gaining exposure to clients and business owners

The Candidate

  • ACA qualification from a Big 4 accounting firm
  • Strong academic and professional credentials.
  • Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills
  • An interest in M&A, transactions and the wider corporate finance market.
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
  • The ambition to develop within a successful and growing advisory business.
