Permanent Full-time

A growing independent investment banking business is looking to strengthen its senior team following a strong period of mandate wins and an increasingly active transaction pipeline. • Reviewing financial and commercial analysis to ensure a consistently high standard of output
  • Supporting and developing more junior members of the team
  • Contributing to the continued development of the wider investment banking platform

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

You'll need strong transaction experience and the judgement to manage complex deals without requiring significant senior oversight. The Corporate Finance Director is likely to bring:

  • 8+ years' experience across M&A, lead advisory or transaction execution
  • A background within a recognised boutique, investment bank or Big Four deals environment
  • Demonstrable experience managing transactions and senior client relationships
  • Strong written communication and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confidence presenting to and advising senior decision-makers
  • A commercially minded, organised and self-directed approach

ACA-qualified candidates are of particular interest, although experienced professionals from legal or other relevant advisory backgrounds will also be considered. The role would suit someone who combines strong technical execution with calm, credible client management and is comfortable taking responsibility for delivering transactions at pace across London and the wider market.

What's on Offer

The salary is £130,000-£160,000 plus bonus, depending on experience and track record. You'll join a relatively lean senior team, providing meaningful exposure to clients, transactions and decision-making, with genuine scope to influence how the business continues to develop. The position is likely to appeal to someone who values a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment over the layers and internal complexity of a larger institution. For an experienced Corporate Finance Director looking for greater ownership of transactions and client relationships within a high-quality investment banking environment, this represents an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline and clear growth ambitions.
