Corporate Finance Director

£100,000 to £130,000 base + bonus + clear route to Partnership

You’re leading transactions, building trusted client relationships and winning work.

The next step should be Partnership. But where you are now, the route remains unclear or keeps moving further away. This opportunity offers something more tangible.

About the Role

An established advisory platform is building its Lead Advisory presence in Bristol and is looking for a strong Corporate Finance Director to help shape its growth across the South West.

This is not a cold start.

You’ll have access to an established regional client base, strong professional relationships and a wider network of accountancy and advisory businesses capable of generating meaningful transaction opportunities.

Responsibilities

The opportunity is to use that platform to:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Originate and lead lower mid-market M&A mandates
  • Advise founders, shareholders and management teams
  • Develop relationships across Bristol and the South West
  • Convert internal and external referrals into transactions
  • Help build the local Corporate Finance presence
  • Support and develop more junior colleagues as the team grows

Requirements

The firm is particularly interested in established Directors who are already operating at, or close to, Partner level.

You’ll need a credible track record of leading transactions and evidence that you can generate work through your own relationships, reputation and market activity. You don’t need to arrive with a fully portable book of business, but you should understand where your opportunities will come from and how you would build momentum.

Experience across technology, software, healthcare, business services or professional services would be useful, although broader lower mid-market experience is equally relevant.

Culture

The culture is a genuine part of the attraction. It is a grown-up, collaborative environment with sensible hours, low bureaucracy and little appetite for presenteeism or internal politics. People are trusted to deliver, and commercial ambition does not come at the expense of quality of life.

Opportunity

You’ll have the freedom to build and make an impact, with an established platform and experienced colleagues around you rather than being left to create everything from scratch.

Next Steps

If you’re performing beyond your current title and want a stronger platform for the next stage of your career, this is worth a confidential conversation.
