Corporate Finance Director, Partner track

£100,000 to £130,000 base + bonus + performance upside

Some Director roles give you a bigger title.

This one gives you a bigger brief.

A growing independent advisory firm is looking for a commercially sharp Corporate Finance Director who can win work, lead lower mid-market mandates and build towards Partner.

This is not a narrow execution seat. The firm needs someone who can bring energy, pace and senior judgement into the Bristol market, with the appetite to originate as well as deliver.

You will work with entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams across business sales, acquisitions, buyouts and growth funding. Typical mandates sit in the lower mid-market, often around £10m to £50m enterprise value.

The role will involve:

  • Originating lower mid-market M&A opportunities
  • Leading transactions from pitch through to completion
  • Advising entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams
  • Building relationships with introducers, funders, investors and business owners
  • Building a stronger Bristol and South West market presence
  • Helping shape a specialist advisory focus over time
  • Bringing pace, energy and commercial standards to the team
  • Supporting junior colleagues as the business grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The firm is interested in Corporate Finance Directors, Senior Directors or early Partner-level advisers who can evidence more than technical delivery.

You should be able to show where work has come from, how you influence opportunities, and how you would build momentum in the market.

Sector experience in technology, software, healthcare, financial services, testing, compliance, business services or other specialist B2B markets would be useful. The priority is credible lower mid-market lead advisory experience, strong judgement and genuine commercial appetite.

This will suit someone who:

  • Is already operating in Corporate Finance / Lead Advisory
  • Has led lower mid-market M&A transactions
  • Can evidence personal origination or meaningful influence on winning work
  • Is credible with entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams
  • Wants more visibility, ownership and influence
  • Is comfortable being visible across Bristol and the South West
  • Has the drive to build, not just inherit
  • Wants a realistic route to Partner

It probably will not suit someone looking for a lifestyle move, a remote-first role, or a purely delivery-led seat.

For the right person, this is a chance to join a growing independent advisory firm, take on a genuinely senior brief and build towards Partner in an environment where impact will be visible.
