Role Purpose
The Corporate Finance Executive supports the delivery of high-quality M&A advisory services across a broad range of transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, and private equity fundraising. The role exists to provide analytical, commercial, and project-management support to the deal team, ensuring key deliverables are produced to a high standard and transactions progress smoothly. Working closely with senior colleagues, the role offers early exposure to live deals, client interaction, and hands-on development within a growing mid-market Corporate Finance practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Pitch Support - Prepare high-quality pitch materials and support the team in securing new mandates.
- Client Delivery - Attend client meetings and assist the deal team in delivering key outputs to timetable.
- Transaction Documentation - Draft and review information memoranda and other deal-related documents.
- Buyer Research - Conduct detailed buyer research and input into the creation of targeted purchaser lists.
- Market Outreach - Assist with buyer contacting and wider market engagement activities.
- Project Management - Support day-to-day transaction management, liaising with clients and advisers to keep deals on track.
- Meeting Notes - Draft clear, accurate notes of key conversations with clients, buyers, and other stakeholders.
- Financial Modelling - Compile and review financial models to support valuation and transaction analysis.

Key Relationships
Internal: Corporate Finance Manager, Senior CF team, wider AMS Group divisions (Audit, Tax, Advisory).
External: Clients, buyers, private equity houses, banks, financial institutions, legal advisers, and other professional intermediaries.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Experience
- ACA qualified (or equivalent) from an audit or transaction services background.
- Newly qualified auditors through to ~12 months’ experience in Corporate Finance or M&A.
- Exposure to CF transactions desirable but not essential.
Technical skills (e.g. systems, methodologies)
- Ability to compile and review financial models.
- Strong verbal, written, and numerical skills with high-quality documentation standards.
- Comfortable interpreting financial statements and large data sets.
Qualifications
Essential:
- ACA / ACCA / equivalent qualification.
Desirable:
- Prior Corporate Finance or M&A exposure.
