Corporate Finance Partner - Glasgow or Edinburgh
£160k to £200k+ with bonus, profit share and potential equity
Scotland has plenty of talented dealmakers. What it has far fewer of are opportunities to build a Corporate Finance practice with a genuinely national platform already behind you.
This is one of them.
You won’t inherit an established local Corporate Finance team, a legacy structure or somebody else’s way of doing things.
You will have the opportunity to establish and lead the Scottish Corporate Finance offering for a growing national advisory firm.
The foundations are already there. The business has established offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, senior relationships across the Scottish market and a wider advisory presence capable of opening doors. Nationally, you’ll be backed by an established Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory practice with a strong lower mid-market deal record and experienced execution capability across the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Scotland is the missing piece.
This is not a cold start, or a role for someone who wants to wait for opportunities to arrive. You’ll need the market presence, relationships and drive to originate lower mid-market M&A work and turn conversations into mandates.
You might already be a Partner looking for more freedom to shape a business. Equally, you could be an established Senior Director who is already winning work but can’t see a credible route to leading a practice where you are.
You’ll have the scope to:
- Lead the Corporate Finance offering across Scotland
- Originate through your network and the wider firm
- Advise across M&A, private equity and growth capital
- Draw on national execution and sector expertise
- Shape the local strategy and proposition
- Build a team as the pipeline grows
You’ll already have a strong Scottish network across business owners, investors, lawyers, accountants and funders. More importantly, you’ll be able to show how those relationships have translated into completed transactions and revenue.

You do not need to arrive with an entire team. You do need to be credible enough to build one.
Why now?
The wider Corporate Finance business has scale, momentum and an established national reputation. The opportunity is to bring that capability properly into Scotland through someone who understands the market and can shape the proposition around it.
Joining now means arriving before the team, strategy and market position have already been decided. You’ll have genuine influence over what gets built and who joins you.
