Corporate Finance Partner

£140k to £150k base, bonus, performance upside and future equity potential

Bristol does not need a passenger with a Partner title.

It needs a senior dealmaker who can win work, lead from the front, lift the office and help build the next stage of the business.

This is a founder-led corporate finance advisory firm with a strong Bristol heritage and a growing national platform. The business has real momentum, with a developing UK footprint and a clear appetite to compete on better-quality lower mid-market work.

The Bristol office now needs more senior commercial firepower.

This is a proper Partner-level role, but not a seat for someone looking to coast. You will need to originate, lead mandates, build relationships and bring visible energy into the office.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role will suit someone who can:

  • Personally originate lower mid-market M&A mandates
  • Lead transactions with entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams
  • Build trusted relationships across introducers, intermediaries and business owners
  • Develop a sector-led practice, not just work a regional patch
  • Bring pace, standards and senior presence into Bristol
  • Help support and raise the level of the team around them

The deal focus is owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses, typically above £10m EV, with increasing activity in the £30m to £50m space.

Sector specialism matters. Healthcare, technology, testing and compliance, and financial services are already areas of focus, but there is room for the right person to bring a credible specialism of their own.

You will probably be:

  • An existing Corporate Finance Partner, early Partner or very strong Senior Director
  • Strong in lower mid-market lead advisory
  • Able to evidence personal fee generation
  • Credible with entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams
  • Commercially ambitious, proactive and accountable
  • Comfortable being visible in Bristol
  • More interested in building something than inheriting a comfortable seat

It probably will not suit someone who wants a lifestyle move, guaranteed equity from day one, or a role where the brand creates every opportunity.

For the right person, this is a chance to help lead a key office, build a sector-led practice and join an independent advisory business at an important point in its growth.
