Own a stake in the Manchester business from day one with real potential to progress into group equity.
You’ve built relationships, won mandates and delivered deals. If you’re ready for more influence over how a business grows, this is worth a conversation.
An M&A adviser is looking for a Partner to help lead the next stage of its Manchester growth.
There’s an existing team, dedicated business development support and an international platform behind you. The opportunity is to turn those foundations, alongside your North West relationships, into a business you help shape and own.
What would you be building?
A stronger Manchester and North West M&A business, advising entrepreneurs and owner-managed companies on acquisitions, exits and growth.
You’ll win mandates, lead client relationships and transactions, and help develop the office’s team and market presence. The Partner remit includes responsibility for commercial performance, people and the direction of the business.
For a salaried Partner seeking ownership, or an existing equity Partner considering a different platform, there is a substantial opportunity to explore.
What’s behind you?
- An existing Manchester deal team with senior experience and execution resource.
- A full-time BD professional dedicated to Manchester, developing entrepreneur relationships and generating introductions.
- Referrals and collaboration across UK and European offices.
- International buyer access, shared deal intelligence and sector credentials to strengthen pitches.
- Central marketing and operational support, alongside funding for entrepreneur events and local business development.
- Direct access to senior leadership who are prepared to back the right person’s ambition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Your network and ability to win work matter. The support gives you more opportunities to turn that capability into growth.
Time to build properly
The leadership understands the time between opening a relationship, securing a mandate and completing a transaction.
They’re prepared to invest in the build, assessing the quality of your engagements, pipeline and commercial progress alongside completed fees.
You’ll need a credible plan and the drive to deliver it, with room to develop a sustainable business over time.
Ownership with room to grow
The Partner model offers meaningful local office equity, with the potential to increase your stake and participate in distributable profits as the business develops.
Successful local equity Partners can also potentially progress into group equity, creating a further interest in the wider international business.
The package combines base remuneration, a separate commercial incentive and an ownership opportunity. We’ll talk through the structure, investment and progression in a confidential conversation.
