Job Title: Ground Floor Receptionist

Location: Baker Street, London

Salary: 31k +

Schedule: Monday – Thursday plus 1 day multiple locations

Shifts on rota: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Reports To: Reception Manager

Start Date: ASAP

Nature of Business: Property Management

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a polished, proactive, and client-focused Ground Floor Receptionist to manage the front-of-house for a prestigious Baker Street property. Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, tenants, and clients, this role requires a highly professional and welcoming individual who can deliver a seamless reception experience while supporting wider office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least two years’ experience in a fast-paced front-of-house environment, looking to join a professional and dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional, and engaging welcome to all guests, tenants, and clients entering the building.
  • Manage switchboard and handle all incoming calls with efficiency and courtesy.
  • Oversee visitor management, including sign-in procedures, security passes, and contractor coordination.
  • Liaise with building facilities and the helpdesk to report and follow up on issues promptly.
  • Assist with ad hoc tenant concierge requests, including restaurant bookings, courier arrangements, and travel support.
  • Ensure reception and client-facing areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Support monthly client reporting and assist with administrative tasks as required.
  • Work closely with the wider property management team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members or temporary staff when required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of tasks.
  • Warm, approachable, and professional with exceptional people skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a front-of-house/reception role, ideally within corporate, hospitality, or property management settings.
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of customer service to VIPs, tenants, and clients.
  • Experience in handling switchboard, meeting room management, and concierge-style support.
  • Familiarity with health and safety practices and building security procedures.
