Company Description
Croydon ParkBox creates free mini-libraries with books and toys in parks across Croydon, making it easy for families, children, and community members to play, learn, and connect. These libraries are open to everyone and operate on a simple “help yourself” basis, encouraging inclusive access to resources. The team keeps each library stocked and well maintained, ensuring that park spaces remain welcoming and engaging. ParkBox is funded through grants and sustained by ongoing community donations, and continues to grow through partnerships and supporter engagement. Role Description
The Corporate Fundraiser will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing financial support from corporate partners to sustain and expand Croydon ParkBox’s mini-libraries. This contract role is fully remote, with flexibility to schedule meetings, calls, and virtual presentations with potential sponsors and partners.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship development, or business development for nonprofits or community initiatives.
- Strong skills in proposal writing, presentation creation, and persuasive communication for corporate audiences.
- Ability to research and analyze potential corporate partners, including aligning shared values and CSR priorities.
- Competence in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation with decision-makers.
- Familiarity with basic fundraising tools, CRM or contact management systems, and tracking fundraising metrics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Comfort with virtual communication tools (video conferencing, email marketing platforms, and online collaboration tools).
- Commitment to community development, education, and inclusive access to public spaces; experience in the charity or voluntary sector is an advantage.
- Relevant education or training in fundraising, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
