FinTech Rec is recruiting on behalf of a growing London-based foreign exchange and international payments business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to begin a career in corporate FX sales. You will receive hands-on training, work closely with experienced professionals and have a clear route towards becoming a 360 Corporate FX Broker.
The opportunity
You will initially support a Senior Dealer while learning corporate FX sales from the ground up.
Your starting focus will be lead generation and new business development. This will involve researching suitable companies, identifying businesses with international payment and currency requirements, and speaking directly with corporate decision-makers.
This is not intended to be a permanent lead-generation position. The aim is to develop you into a successful Corporate FX Broker who can originate new business, build long-term relationships and manage a portfolio of corporate clients.

- Generating qualified opportunities and arranging meetings for the Senior Dealer
- Learning how to understand client requirements, including payment volumes, currencies, transaction frequency, current providers and hedging needs
- Developing knowledge of spot transactions, forward contracts and currency risk management
- Maintaining accurate prospect records and following up consistently
- Joining client calls and meetings as your knowledge develops
- Responding positively to coaching and applying feedback quickly
- Progressing towards winning, developing and managing your own corporate accounts

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your career path
Stage 1—Learn and generate
Understand the FX market, the company’s services and how to identify and approach suitable corporate prospects. Develop your telephone skills and consistently generate qualified opportunities.
Stage 2—Develop
Take greater ownership of conversations, attend meetings, understand client requirements in more detail and build your commercial knowledge.
Stage 3—Become a 360 broker
Originate your own business, build client relationships, manage corporate accounts and support clients with their international payment and currency requirements.
Progression will be based on performance. As you achieve targets, demonstrate your ability and take on greater responsibility, your salary, commission and position can develop accordingly.
What we’re looking for
Attitude and potential are more important than previous FX experience. You may be a graduate, currently working in an entry-level sales position or simply determined to build a serious career in financial sales.
You should be:
- Ambitious, competitive and commercially driven
- Confident communicating by telephone
- Comfortable with outbound sales and cold calling
- Resilient when dealing with rejection
- Curious, coachable and able to apply feedback quickly
- Professional when speaking with senior businesspeople
- Prepared to work hard while developing your knowledge
- Interested in financial markets, business and international commerce
- Motivated to build a long-term career rather than simply find your next job

Why join?
You will be joining a close-knit business at an exciting stage of its growth.
Unlike joining a large financial institution as one of hundreds of junior employees, you will work closely with senior people, receive direct support and have the opportunity to make a visible impact.
For strong performers, the company’s growth could create future opportunities across broking, account management and team leadership.
About the business
The company supports corporate and private clients across:
- International payments
- Spot FX transactions
- Forward contracts
- Currency risk management
- Global supplier and employee payments
- Collection accounts and mass payments
- Wider business finance solutions
Successful brokers take a consultative approach. They develop an understanding of their clients’ businesses and build long-term commercial relationships rather than competing solely on exchange rate.
The assessment process
The recruitment process is designed to assess your potential, not simply how well you perform in a traditional interview.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to an assessment session involving:
- Training
- Role play
- Prospect research
- Live calling
You are not expected to arrive as an FX expert. The company will be looking for evidence of strong communication, listening skills, resilience, coachability and the ability to improve when given feedback.

If you are ambitious, commercially minded and ready to build a career in corporate foreign exchange, apply through LinkedIn with your CV.
