Corporate Governance Support Officer
We are seeking an exceptional Corporate Governance Support Officer to join our Corporate Governance Team and help ensure that our Board, its committees and key governance processes run effectively.
This is a pivotal role supporting the smooth running of the Trust’s corporate governance arrangements. You will provide high-quality secretariat and administrative support to the Trust Board, Board Committees and senior governance leads. A typical week includes preparing agendas, supporting meeting planning cycles, producing accurate and professional minutes, maintaining action logs, coordinating governance information and ensuring compliance with governance processes and regulatory frameworks.
This role demands outstanding judgement, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with absolute professionalism. You must be able to analyse complex information, interpret governance requirements and problem-solve autonomously.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
