Key Responsibilities
- Taking day-to-day responsibility for transactions, with appropriate partner supervision and direct client contact.
- Managing and progressing complex matters efficiently and proactively.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of corporate transaction documents.
- Communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Identifying inconsistencies and quality issues in transaction documents and related work.
- Participating in negotiations with clients, counterparties and other advisers.
- Understanding clients’ commercial objectives and helping to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across different practice areas and jurisdictions.
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the corporate practice.
- Providing commercially focused and technically sound legal advice with integrity and professionalism.

About You

The successful candidate is likely to be an Associate or Senior Associate with strong post-qualification experience in corporate transactions within a private practice environment.
You should have:
- Experience across a broad range of corporate matters, including private M&A, private equity and infrastructure transactions.
- Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience preparing and negotiating key transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, disclosure letters, shareholder agreements and joint venture agreements.
- Experience leading transactions or managing significant transaction workstreams with direct client involvement.
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of written work.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to advising clients.
- Confidence in negotiations and client interactions.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- A proactive, self-starting and collaborative mindset.
- An interest in developing new skills and broadening technical knowledge beyond core transactional work.
- A genuine focus on delivering excellent outcomes for clients.
