A highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked national law firm is seeking a Corporate Legal Director to join its market-leading Corporate team in Leeds.

The successful Corporate Legal Director will manage a high-quality caseload of complex corporate matters while developing long-term client relationships across a broad client base, including owner-managed businesses, large corporates and PLCs.

The role will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of high-value corporate transactions with minimal partner supervision
  • Advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, management buyouts, joint ventures, reorganisations and corporate governance matters
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal advice
  • Supervising and supporting the development of junior members of the Corporate team
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to identify opportunities and share knowledge
  • Playing an active role in networking and business development to support the continued growth of the team

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a Corporate Legal Director seeking a new challenge or an experienced Senior Associate ready to step into a more senior position
  • Have extensive experience advising on a broad range of corporate matters, including M&A, private equity, buyouts, joint ventures and corporate governance
  • Be confident managing complex matters independently while maintaining exceptional client service
  • Have experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
  • Enjoy networking and business development and be keen to contribute to the team's continued success
  • Be commercially minded, collaborative and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
