About the Role
We want to develop relationships with businesses that could support the Association through corporate membership, sponsorship, donations, expertise or collaborative projects.
Could you help us by identifying such businesses and approaching them to join us?
What Difference Will You Make?
Your input will help shape our relationship with the wider community, not necessarily just those which are canal related. With your help, we can increase our income, enabling us to be more effective in our work.

- Is enthusiastic about accessibility, inclusion and the UK’s waterways.
- Can work independently while being part of a friendly volunteer team.
- Is organised and reliable.
- Shares the values and aims of the Accessible Waterways Association.

What Will You Be Doing?
What You Will Be Doing
- Identifying businesses whose values align with accessibility, inclusion and the waterways.
- Introducing organisations to the benefits of becoming an AWA Corporate Member.
- Developing relationships with potential sponsors and commercial partners.
- Maintaining contact with existing corporate members and helping them remain engaged.
- Attending networking events, exhibitions or business meetings when appropriate.
- Promoting the work and achievements of the Accessible Waterways Association.
- Helping prepare partnership proposals and promotional information.
- Sharing ideas for developing new corporate partnerships and funding opportunities.
- Keeping simple records of contacts and partnership activity.
