Location: Plymouth or Faribault, Minnesota
Your Responsibilities:
- Focused role to represent manufacturing on new product program
- Collaborate on cross-functional product design teams to enhance manufacturability for new products, define production process procedures, and furnish cost information to marketing and engineering.
- Additionally, provide manufacturing support to NPI teams, including process flow adjustments and tool/fixture design
- Define equipment/tool design for new and existing production processes, solicit quotes/bids for equipment procurement, and manage projects from inception to training
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance, to streamline production, provide technical support, and lead continuous improvement/cost reduction events, including cross-functional kaizen events
- Function as a mentor for less experienced engineers in the performance of their engineering duties and utilize them to assist with larger projects as assigned
- Frequently serve in a leadership role on organizational initiatives and occasionally act as a trainer for specific projects
- Evaluates capital equipment investment options, prepares recommendations and justifications, obtains investment approvals, orders and installs new equipment.
- Apply work measurement techniques to analyze work samples, establish labor standards, estimate production times, staffing needs, and associated costs, and provide process improvement recommendations to management
- Collect and analyze operational data to optimize workforce utilization, facility layout, and workflow for efficient equipment and workspace design, adhering to lean manufacturing principles and incorporating strategic enhancements to assembly and fabrication processes within the factory
- Propose strategies to enhance worker efficiency, safety, and product quality by implementing cost-saving initiatives, job duty restructuring, workflow optimization aligned with PDS principles, and overseeing workstation relocation and equipment procurement
- Collaborate with the ME team to create work instructions, training checklists, and training matrices, ensuring the integration of safety and ergonomics best practices into the manufacturing process

Your Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical, scientific or engineering degree.
- 5+ years of related experience
- Solidworks, AutoCAD 2D, MS Office and MS Project experience
- Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using state-of-art manufacturing processes, including cellular manufacturing and Demand Flow Technology (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,400 to $151,800 +10% BIP in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
