Pay Level: 7, £43,253 - £48,795 (fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
DBS requirement: Basic

What You’ll Be Doing
Be at the heart of a transforming Council. This is a key role within the Council’s Corporate Programme Management Office (PMO), responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day operation and continued development of the PMO across the Council’s Transformation and Improvement portfolios. You will provide governance, assurance, portfolio reporting, standards and practical project management support across a diverse range of projects and programmes.
- Coordinate corporate reporting and governance activity, including supporting forums such as the Design Authority and Transformation Board, maintaining clear action and decision records, and helping ensure submissions are complete and decision ready.
- Make sure colleagues can access and use the Council’s project management framework, tools, templates and guidance.
- Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Change, the Transformation Delivery Partner and teams across the organisation to build consistent standards and stronger project delivery capability.
- Work with Project Managers, Service Leads and Sponsors to provide practical PMO advice and support. This will include helping teams strengthen plans, understand risks and dependencies, and improve delivery confidence.
- Support a practical health check for struggling projects to help identify what needs to change.
