The Role
Joining a successful, growing insolvency practice as a crucial part of our management team. The successful candidate will lead a team of insolvency administrators who are responsible for a caseload of CVL’s from appointment to closure.
This role could suit an established Insolvency Manager or Assistant Manager, but we are equally interested in a highly experienced Insolvency Administrator who has the technical knowledge, judgement, and people skills to take the next step.
You will be responsible for the management of the team, working closely with internal departments, Directors, Creditors, and the Insolvency Practitioners in a fast-paced environment handling a high volume of CVL cases. The team deals with the administration and progression of corporate insolvency cases following appointment, including statutory work, investigations, case reviews, employee and pension matters, creditor correspondence, and closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing & improving performance of a team of insolvency administrators
- Allocating work and ensuring cases progress efficiently and statutory deadlines are met
- Reviewing work in a proportionate way, with greater autonomy earned by experienced, consistently accurate staff
- Providing technical support and dealing with escalated or more complex matters
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, investigation, and written work
- Prioritising and organizing the workloads of the team ensuring all statutory obligations are met
- Providing technical advice and assistance to the wider team
- Training and developing less experienced staff, including apprentices and developing administrators
- Supporting the team where necessary by actively assisting with the case work where required
- Identifying recruitment needs and helping build a stable, resilient team
- Improving systems, processes, and ways of working rather than simply maintaining the status quo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
