You’ll take the lead on complex transactions across M&A, private equity, reorganisations, and joint ventures, with significant client contact and responsibility for matters from inception through to completion. The Corporate practice benefits from the resources and specialist expertise of the wider firm while providing senior lawyers in London with the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for high-quality transactions and client relationships.

The culture is collaborative and supportive, with an emphasis on professional development, flexibility, and giving lawyers the opportunity to progress as the practice continues to grow.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

You will join the London Corporate team as a Principal Associate, advising clients across a broad range of transactional and advisory matters. The work will include M&A, disposals, private equity transactions, corporate reorganisations and restructurings, joint ventures, and wider corporate governance and company law matters. There is also scope to work on cross-border transactions as part of the firm's broader client offering.

You will lead transactions from inception through to completion, taking responsibility for drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing due diligence processes, identifying legal and commercial risks, and coordinating the wider deal process.

This is a senior position with substantial client exposure. You will develop and manage relationships directly, becoming a trusted point of contact while working closely with Partners on more complex or strategically important matters.

You will also supervise and mentor Associates and Trainees, contribute to business development, and play an active role in the continued development of the London Corporate practice.

The Candidate

  • Experienced Corporate Solicitor operating at Senior or Principal Associate level
  • Strong transactional experience across M&A and wider corporate matters
  • Experience of private equity transactions would be particularly valuable
  • Confident leading transactions with a high degree of autonomy
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify and communicate key risks clearly
  • Comfortable managing direct client relationships
  • Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
  • Cross-border transactional experience would be advantageous
  • Experience across technology, financial services, energy, healthcare, or education would also be beneficial
