Corporate & Real Estate Lawyers – Associate to Partner
Manchester | Multiple Hires | Salary depending on level & experience
This isn't your typical law firm opportunity. You won't find a culture built around internal politics, unnecessary hierarchy or the idea that working the most insane hours somehow makes you the best lawyer. Instead, you'll find high-quality work, plenty of it, and smart people who genuinely enjoy working with one another – within a collegiate, supportive environment where you're trusted to do a great job and recognised for the contribution you make.
We're supporting a progressive and growing law firm as they make a significant investment across their Corporate and Real Estate practices in Manchester. And these aren't simply replacement hires. The firm is looking to make several appointments across both teams, with considerable flexibility around level and experience. We're particularly interested in speaking with:
- Experienced Associates ready for their next step
- Senior Associates looking for greater responsibility and progression
- Legal Directors wanting more influence and leadership opportunity
- Partners looking for a progressive platform on which to grow a practice

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity
Across Corporate and Real Estate, there is an established platform, existing clients and a strong pipeline of work. For Real Estate lawyers, the practice covers broad commercial property work including acquisitions, disposals, leases, development and more complex property matters. Within Corporate, we're interested in lawyers with strong transactional experience who want to play a meaningful role in the continued development of a growing practice. As your seniority increases, so does the opportunity to develop client relationships, generate new work, mentor and build teams, and influence the future direction of the practice.
Why Consider It?
We've worked closely with the firm for some time and have successfully helped them appoint a number of lawyers and legal professionals. What has consistently stood out is the culture. There's high-quality work and a strong pipeline of clients, but without some of the politics and unnecessary hierarchy associated with more traditional law firms. People collaborate, share work and genuinely seem to enjoy working together. It's also a firm that's investing and growing, creating genuine opportunities for ambitious lawyers to take on greater responsibility rather than waiting for someone above them to move. At Partner level, they're equally interested in people who want the opportunity and support to build and grow, rather than simply being judged on the size of a portable following. The business also benefits from the backing and resources of a substantial international group, while retaining the accessibility and entrepreneurial feel of a progressive law firm.
