Job Description

About Us

Fusion, the process that powers the sun and stars, is one of the most promising options for generating the cleaner, carbon-free energy that our world badly needs. UKAEA leads the way in realizing fusion energy, partnering with industry and research organizations to achieve ground-breaking advancements. Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.

About the Job

As a Corporate Reporting Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring UKAEA's financial reporting is accurate, timely and insightful. Working within the Corporate Reporting and Analysis Team, you'll help maintain the integrity of financial data, produce routine reports, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide analysis that helps colleagues make informed decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance and reporting skills in a collaborative and supportive team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Produce and maintain accurate routine financial reports, helping to automate and improve reporting processes.
  • Analyse financial data and present information clearly using charts, graphs and other reporting tools.
  • Support the budget and forecasting process, working closely with Management Accountants and Programme Finance Managers.
  • Maintain project structures within the finance system, including creating and updating work orders, reporting relationships and delegations.
  • Respond to finance-related queries through the ticketing system, providing timely support to colleagues across the organisation.
  • Assist with year-end reporting, internal and external audits, and finance improvement initiatives.
  • Support the testing and implementation of new reports, system upgrades and continuous improvement activities.
  • Help develop colleagues by supporting finance apprentices and sharing knowledge of reporting and Excel best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
