Corporate Risk & Compliance Manager – TiPJAR

About the Role
We are seeking a Corporate Risk & Compliance Manager to build and lead TiPJAR’s corporate risk and compliance function as we scale toward an enterprise-ready operating model.
- Reporting line: General Counsel
- Location: Hybrid (based in London, near Liverpool Street)
Key Responsibilities
• Be the second-line lead for corporate risk and compliance
• Own critical compliance and risk triage, ensuring proactive risk management
• Maintain an operational risk register with clear RACI allocations • Implement and manage issue management and escalation processes
• Design and oversee vendor onboarding, ensuring robust governance
• Ensure compliance contract reviews are completed thoroughly and consistently
• Be the main point of contact for vendor logs, including renewals and regulatory notices via Juro
• Support day-to-day implementation of the data privacy compliance model (outsource DPO if applicable)
• Produce structured governance reporting for internal forums
• Embed a strong risk culture while delivering engaging and creative compliance training throughout the organisation
• Monitor and engage effectively with senior stakeholders, including the Board
Experience & Qualifications
Core requirements: ✔ Deep experience in risk and compliance, particularly in scaling fintech environments ✔ Strong regulatory knowledge of the financial services perimeter ✔ Detailed understanding of payments and financial services regulations to position TiPJAR correctly at all times ✔ Proven skill in operational process design ✔ Vendor and third-party risk expertise ✔ Strong grasp of GDPR best practices and requirements ✔ Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills

- Up-to-date and actively maintained risk and vendor registers
- Strong adoption of compliance protocols across all business units
