Corporate Sales Manager – Mid-Market

Compensation and Benefits

  • Generous base salary
  • OTE £125K+, plus potential of an additional Annual Performance Bonus for outstanding performance
  • £6K car allowance

The Role

At Handepay Mid-Market, part of PayPoint Group, we support higher-value UK merchants with tailored payment solutions designed to scale with their businesses. As we continue to build our Mid-Market proposition, we’re looking for experienced, consultative sales professionals to help drive early success and establish Handepay Mid-Market in the UK.

As a Corporate Sales Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new UK merchants with annual card turnover of £2.5m–£20m, managing the full sales lifecycle and delivering solutions that create genuine commercial value for our customers.

The Team

Handepay Mid-Market focuses on complex, higher-value merchants, delivering solutions across card acquiring, POS/EPOS, eCommerce, and value-added services.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Sales & Partnerships and wider virtual teams, operating in a high-trust, high-accountability environment where quality, consistency, and customer outcomes matter.

What You’ll Own

New Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and win new Mid-Market merchants through self-generation, introducers, and group-led opportunities
  • Own the end-to-end sales process from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation, close, and handover
  • Build and maintain a strong, high-quality pipeline aligned to agreed target sectors and regions

Consultative & Solution-Led Selling

  • Conduct detailed discovery to understand customer needs, transaction profiles, and operational challenges
  • Position Handepay Mid-Market’s solutions across:
    • Card acquiring
    • POS and EPOS
    • eCommerce and omnichannel payments
    • Value-added services and asset finance (where appropriate)
  • Develop commercially sound proposals that balance customer value with profitability

Stakeholder Management

  • Build relationships with multiple buyer stakeholders, including finance, operations, IT, and ownership
  • Confidently engage and present at senior decision-maker and C-suite level
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams across Product, Risk, Onboarding, and Implementation to progress opportunities

Sales Discipline & Governance

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and forecasts
  • Manage sales cycles effectively to maximise conversion, deal value, and customer satisfaction
  • Operate within agreed pricing, risk, and compliance frameworks

Market & Partner Engagement

  • Build and nurture introducer and partner relationships to generate and progress opportunities
  • Establish Handepay Mid-Market’s presence within your chosen sectors through networking and market activity
  • Share market insight, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback to inform wider strategy

Essential

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within payments, fintech, financial services, or SaaS
  • Strong track record of self-generating and closing complex, higher-value opportunities
  • Consultative selling approach with strong commercial judgement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

  • Experience selling card acquiring, POS/EPOS, eCommerce, or omnichannel solutions
  • Experience working with introducers or partner-led sales models
  • Sector or vertical specialism within higher-value merchant environments
