Corporate Associate - Tier 2 Legal 500 Leeds City Centre - Hybrid Working (2x from home) Starting salary of £60,000

A highly regarded corporate team based in Leeds is looking to appoint a Corporate Associate. This is a genuine growth opportunity within a well-established, tier 2 regional practice, with parallel hiring also underway at Senior Associate and Director level as the team expands.

You will be joining one of the most active and successful corporate teams in the region, recognised for the strength and quality of its transactional work and advising an impressive range of clients across sectors.

The Role

You'll work across a broad spread of corporate matters, acting for owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and larger corporate clients across multiple sectors. The role offers early responsibility alongside close support from experienced colleagues on bigger transactions.

Your work will likely include:

  • M&A transactions, both domestic and cross-border
  • Private equity investment work, restructuring, and broader corporate advisory matters
  • Running your own matters with appropriate supervision, while assisting senior colleagues on larger and more complex deals
  • Transaction values typically in the £5m–£100m+ range
  • Building client and cross-team relationships to support seamless service delivery
  • Contributing to business development and building your own professional network over time

Rather than narrow specialisation, you'll get exposure across the full range of corporate work. M&A will be the core focus, but you'll also build experience in private equity, restructuring, and wider advisory work.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years' PQE with solid experience on corporate transactions
  • M&A experience is essential; broader corporate exposure can develop over time
  • Strong technical grounding in corporate law and good commercial awareness
  • Ability to manage your own workload and contribute effectively within a transaction team
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with ambition to keep developing
