THE ROLE
The organisation is hiring for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join its expanding tax team. In this role, you'll oversee a portfolio of clients, deliver compliance and advisory services, and develop internal and external relationships. Your work will involve managing corporate tax affairs, supervising junior team members, and supporting the delivery of complex projects. You'll report to senior leaders, ensuring high standards, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
- Manage and support a portfolio of UK-based corporate clients, including SMEs and larger groups.
- Oversee compliance processes, including preparation and review of corporation tax returns.
- Contribute to tax advisory projects, including transactions, planning, and international tax.
- Coordinate with audit teams and other stakeholders to deliver seamless service.
- Supervise and develop junior staff through coaching and review.
- Identify opportunities for new business and support proposal development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for driven professionals with a strong background in corporate tax who want to grow their career within a supportive environment. The right candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strategic thinking, and a client-focused approach.
Mandatory:
- Qualified (ACA, ATT, CTA) with minimum 4 years working in corporate tax.
- Experience managing corporate tax compliance portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and international tax concepts.
- Proven ability to review work and supervise team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple client demands.
Preferred:
- Experience working with private equity-backed companies or large groups.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and tax software.
- Good understanding of UK GAAP/FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Previous involvement in tax advisory or planning projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in client engagement.
