Corporate Tax Manager

This Corporate Tax Manager role in Dartford focuses on managing and advising on complex tax matters for clients in the accountancy industry. You'll play a key part in ensuring compliance and delivering tailored tax solutions that support business objectives.

Client Details

Our client is a large accountancy practice based in Dartford. The business has recently been acquired and the new owners are keen to grow the firm.

Description

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring returns and computations are prepared, reviewed, and submitted on time.
  • Advise clients on corporate tax matters, liabilities, payment deadlines, and opportunities for tax-efficient planning.
  • Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs, clients, and third parties to resolve queries and manage ongoing tax affairs.
  • Support Partners and Directors in delivering tax planning projects and implementing tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Review colleagues' work for technical accuracy and provide guidance where required.
  • Monitor work in progress, billing, recoveries, and chargeable hours to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
  • Ensure all relevant claims, elections, and statutory deadlines are met.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including networking, prospect meetings, and identifying new opportunities.
  • Assist Partners and Directors with the promotion and strategic development of the Corporate Tax service line.

Profile

  • ACA, CTA, or equivalent qualified, with strong corporate tax knowledge.
  • Proven tax advisory experience and a proactive, client-focused approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical ability, with a thorough understanding of tax compliance requirements, filing deadlines, and payment obligations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and its impact on clients, supported by a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience managing compliance risk and ensuring high-quality technical standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiar with relevant accounting and tax software.
