AJ Chambers are working with an established Tax & Accountancy firm based in Southampton or Reading to connect a Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager with their next opportunity.

This role provides a combination of compliance and advisory work, supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate and owner-managed clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of client relationships, deliver high-quality technical work, and work closely with senior stakeholders on a range of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a proactive and responsive service
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including responsibility for billing and cash collection
  • Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring work is completed within agreed budgets and timelines
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and provide constructive feedback
  • Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities, escalating as appropriate
  • Support on ad hoc advisory and technical assignments

Team Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior staff through on-the-job training and regular feedback
  • Contribute to internal technical discussions and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with colleagues across service lines to deliver a comprehensive client service

Business Development

  • Identify opportunities for additional services within the existing client base
  • Support senior stakeholders in developing new business relationships
  • Contribute to proposals and pitches

Requirements

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong corporate tax technical knowledge across compliance and advisory
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience supervising and developing junior team members
