Corporate Tax Manager

Advisory Firm | London | Strong Advisory Exposure

The Role

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of corporate tax clients, providing both tax compliance and advisory support.

You will oversee corporate tax compliance, review corporation tax computations and returns, manage client deadlines, and support on a broad range of advisory projects.

The advisory work may include areas such as group restructuring, transactions, international tax, capital allowances, R&D, shareholder planning, tax-efficient structuring, and wider commercial tax planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients across a range of sectors
  • Review corporation tax computations, returns, and tax accounting disclosures
  • Oversee compliance deadlines, client deliverables, and internal workflow
  • Provide corporate tax advisory support to UK and international clients
  • Advise on areas such as group structures, transactions, reorganisations, capital allowances, R&D, and shareholder matters
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide commercially focused advice
  • Build strong relationships with clients, finance teams, business owners, and internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with HMRC and support clients with tax queries, disclosures, and correspondence
  • Manage, mentor, and review the work of junior team members
  • Support Partners and Directors with advisory projects, proposals, and client development activity

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will likely be a qualified tax professional with strong corporate tax experience gained within practice or advisory.

You may currently be working within a Big 4, Top 10, mid-tier, or independent firm and looking for a role that offers more autonomy, broader client exposure, and stronger progression.

This position would suit someone who enjoys technical corporate tax work but also wants to operate in a commercial, client-facing advisory environment.

Requirements

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong UK corporate tax experience gained within practice or advisory
  • Experience reviewing corporation tax computations and managing compliance deadlines
  • Exposure to corporate tax advisory projects would be highly beneficial
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax
  • Good understanding of group structures, transactions, capital allowances, or international tax matters would be advantageous
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, projects, and stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in advisory work and business growth
