Immediate Opportunity for an Interim Corporate Tax Manager
We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Interim Corporate Tax Manager to join a fast-paced and busy media business. Reporting into the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for managing the company's corporate tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities. This project requires a hands-on compliance resource to help get corporation tax returns and computations completed, reviewed, and filed within the timescales given. Based in Manchester, this role offers an immediate start, hybrid working pattern, and a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate tax compliance, filings, and reporting requirements.
- Support the preparation and review of corporation tax computations for approximately 100 entities.
- Review tax provisions and support statutory and external audits.
- Provide tax accounting under IFRS.
- Preparation and submission of CT600s.
- Provide tax advice on business transactions, restructures, acquisitions, and international expansion.
- Tax provisioning and deferred tax understanding.
- Support tax audits and liaise with external advisors and tax authorities.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities and maintain a strong tax governance framework.
- Partner with finance and business teams to ensure tax-efficient decision-making.
- Drive process improvements and support tax technology initiatives and manage statutory deadlines.

Skills & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven corporate tax experience in industry, practice, or a combination of both.
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax principles.
- Experience with tax accounting, compliance, and cross-border transactions.
- Experience using Alphatax for corporation tax compliance, computations, reporting, etc.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multinational or large group environment.
- Media, advertising, publishing, or technology sector experience (beneficial).
