About the Opportunity

Lochead Sandford Recruitment's client, one of our well-established large and most forward-thinking CA firms who continue to expand, seeks to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or ambitious Assistant Corporate Tax Manager to work to develop quickly upwards to Manager, to join their team.

The Role

Our client's tax professionals provide a comprehensive range of tax services including dealing with tax planning, implementing practical tax strategies, and compliance.

With an increased demand for tax services, our client seeks an experienced and ambitious Tax Manager to join their tax team. You will work closely with partners, clients, and fellow team members and the position offers an excellent opportunity to build an influential role around your strengths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the management of corporate compliance services.
  • Supervise and guide assignments as necessary to make sure all filing deadlines and related time limits are met.
  • Supervise the work completion, delegating as required, and ensuring effective delivery of work and targets are monitored and achieved.
  • Assist with departmental management and administration, including staff appraisals.
  • Coach, support, supervise, and train team members.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the department, i.e. business development, sales and marketing, quality, admin processes, and resource planning.
  • Keep technically up to date and assist the department leadership team, as appropriate.
  • Monitor and take responsibility for issuing of corporate fees and wip maintenance.

The Person

Successful candidates will have broad current/recent Corporate Tax experience gained from ideally working in another UK Practice Firm, with excellent technical knowledge, and proven experience of taxation compliance and review, supervisory skills, and an excellent communicator in order to develop relationships with clients and colleagues. You will have a positive and confident approach to work, be able to work as part of a team or on lone assignments, have proven time management and organizational skills, and will be passionate about excellent customer service.

Ideally you will be ATT/CTA qualified (or equivalent).

With proven organizational skills and ability to take ownership of tasks, you will be highly client-focused with an enthusiastic, flexible approach to work and your team.
