Corporate Tax Manager
TPF Recruitment is supporting a dynamic and growing accountancy firm in Brighton that is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to help shape the firm’s tax offering and provide high-quality advisory services to a diverse client base.
The successful candidate will work closely with audit and accounts directors and managers, providing specialist tax support and strengthening client relationships. There is excellent potential for career progression for a motivated individual who can drive business growth and deliver added value to clients.
About the Firm
This well-established firm works with a broad range of clients, including SME business owners, Finance Directors of domestic and international companies/groups, trustees of charitable organizations, and high-net-worth individuals. Given the varied nature of the client base, the role requires a comprehensive understanding of both corporate and personal taxation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on corporate tax matters, including:
- Business acquisitions and sales, SPA’s, tax covenants
- Mergers, demergers, and corporate reorganisations.
- Share buybacks and multiple completion contracts
- Share-for-share exchanges
- Tax-advantaged share schemes (e.g., EMI share options)
- Venture capital schemes (EIS/SEIS)
- R&D and Creative Industries tax reliefs (including video games tax relief)
- Capital allowances and intangible assets
- Tax-efficient profit extraction
- Collaborating with other departments to provide seamless advisory services
- Supporting business development efforts and contributing to the firm’s growth
- Keeping up to date with tax legislation and identifying opportunities for clients.

Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, and/or CTA qualified
- Experience: At least 5 years of corporate tax advisory experience
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to provide strategic tax advice
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to business development
- Experience with indirect taxes (such as SDLT and VAT) is desirable but not essential
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with tax software.
